There are a lot of people on the ballot this November committing to represent the conservative values of Tennesseans. To me, it feels like most of them are pretty detached from what my neighbors and I actually value.
Personally, I want a whole lot less government in my life.
I think of government like building a house: federal is the foundation, state is the framing, and local government is the rooms you live in. Right now, the state is far too focused on personal choices and culture-war battles instead of building a strong frame for opportunity so Tennesseans can thrive.
It's time for someone willing to represent and vote to improve things for the diverse group of people who call District 23 home, not someone focused on culture wars, impressing folks in DC, or toeing the party line.
I'm well aware I'm not a traditional choice to represent most of you, and most of you don't know me yet. I hope you'll take the next few months to get to know me.
I believe you should decide how you raise your children, what faith you practice, and that no one but you and your doctor should have a say in what you do with your body. We need big business and its influence out of policy, and someone in Nashville who's used to writing the rules and building community, not just falling in line. I've been leading, building, and evolving since my teens. Power and wealth don't interest me, and I've got a few decades of practice standing firm under pressure.
The state government needs to get back in its lane. District 23 needs someone who can listen, understand, and cut through the bureaucracy to get things done.
I'd love to learn what matters most to you for our district, and earn the chance to represent you in Nashville.
Jeremy Bromwell is an entrepreneur, farmer, and community builder who has called Tellico Plains home since 2020. After decades of learning and building a diverse skillset - he chose East Tennessee deliberately, purchasing land to start Grow and Flow, a small regenerative farm and yoga and movement studio.
Unsatisfied with what is going into food in this country, he decided to learn to farm and grow his own. He is bringing life back to the land and movement to the community surrounding his East Tennessee home.
I'm building something real here - and I want to hear from you before I tell you what I think. What matters most to you? What does District 23 need?

Both parties have big challenges right now. The Republicans who've held this seat have been more focused on party loyalty and culture wars than on what we need in McMinn and Monroe counties. Democrats haven't offered a real alternative here either.
An independent representative doesn't owe anything to a party. I owe everything to District 23. That means I can work with anyone who has good ideas, and push back on anyone who doesn't, regardless of what letter is next to their name.
That's not a compromise. That's how it's supposed to work.
I'm asking for your vote, but more than that, I'm asking you to be part of this.
